Remaking a breakfast favorite - High Protein Pancakes

Everyone loves pancakes, they are the greatest "Sunday, family time" type of food. Unfortunately, large amounts of white flour and maple syrup aren't anyone's idea of wholesome eating.

If you are trying to improve your eating habits, but still like to enjoy your food, here is one wonderful solution: protein pancakes. Unlike their primary counterpart, this recipe uses low glycemic oats, bungalow cheese and egg whites to generate a delicacy that is enjoyed by everyone. In addition, the protein article of these pancakes will keep you full and your metabolism revving all day long, helping you lose weight in the long run!

Pan Cake

Protein pancakes

1 cup egg whites

1/2 cup bungalow cheese

1/2 cup oats

1 tbsp vanilla yogurt (optional)

1-2 packets Splenda (optional)

For best results, mix all the ingredients in a blender or Magic Bullet

Directions

1. Grind oats in blender until powder-like.

2. Add bungalow cheese and egg whites, continue to mix.

3. If you want a sweeter batter, add a slight vanilla yogurt or sweetener.

Cook like regular pancakes, using coconut oil or cooking spray.

Makes 4 large pancakes.

My personal advice is to top with E.D. Smith low-carbohydrate syrup.
