When we made our reservation, we told the hostess that we had a child with a food allergy. She assured us that she would make a special note of it and we would have no problems eating at Chef Mickey's. When we arrived, they seated us and immediately brought the Head Chef out to talk directly with Jac.
This was a new palpate for Jac as he has not been used to habitancy request him directly for his plan / preference. He plan he was pretty special and it additional proved to us how seriously they take food allergies at Disney World. Another thing that made us nervous is that many of the morning meal meals are set up as buffets. The Chef assured us that there were safe things for Jac to eat in the buffet and we would not need to worry about cross contamination.

The Chef took Jac straight through the whole buffet, pointing out what he could and could not eat. He asked Jac what he was hungry for and gave him some gluten free options he could make for him. When Jac indicated he would like pancakes, the Chef went back to the kitchen, made him Gluten Free Mickey-shaped pancakes and served them to Jac. He ate every bite.
Twice during our meal, the Chef and the hostess came to the table to speak directly with Jac and see how he was enjoying his meal. We were delighted with our palpate at Chef Mickey's and for the first time in a while, we were all able to relax and feel comfortable eating in a restaurant.
